So, to anyone who has been following Liam Hemsworth over the past few years, it is pretty clear that his on-again-off-again relationship — and then marriage — with singer Miley Cyrus is officially over. News of their divorce broke out last August, and Liam has been on a much-needed recovery journey ever since.

Working Out Is Liam Hemsworth’s Refuge

As he enters his 30s, Liam is rapidly putting the trials of the past 10 years behind him and moving forward. He’s healthier, happier, and even more shredded. Yep, you read that right. The already super-fit actor turned to more intense workouts to help keep his mind and body in shape. He even had Jared Leto and Jake Gyllenhaal as his workout partners at times due to his work with celeb fitness trainer Jason Walsh.

Liam’s Arm Workout

Aside from brutal total-body hour-long sessions, Liam’s trainer also added his special arms workout into the mix. All of this was possible because, according to Jason, Liam performed best when he isn’t locked in mentally but rather when he’s in harmony with himself. So, naturally, when he saw Liam was feeling better and better, he started pushing him to do more. The “sleeve-splitting guns” workout — as he calls it — includes five main exercises:

  • Iso straight bar — 10 seconds for each of the 3-position holds
  • Heavy DB curls (x8)
  • Lying cable curls (20-30 reps, 30 seconds each)
  • Rope extension/Standing Cable (10 narrow/10 wide)
  • Drop-set push-ups — start with 10kg plates on your back and 15 reps

The Past Is in the Past

If there is one thing Liam Hemsworth won’t open up about — it’s his divorce and that’s understandable. He does love the word “rebuilding” when describing his last year, so that should be telling enough. The man is doing alright and is in a good place right now. And we get to admire his enormous biceps. What more could we ask for?
