Having the same eye color wouldn’t necessarily mean that you look just like your mother or father. The fact that you may share brown eyes may be genetic but has very little to do with the overall look you have.

However, in this case, the eyes are what makes this mother-daughter duo look like they are carbon copies of each other. The unique brown and blue eye combination is not only unique but very beautiful.

Sometimes when people tell you that you look like a certain family member, it’s hard to see it at first. This can lead to a lot of denial until somebody can prove to you that what they’re saying is the truth.

So, when this young lady finally saw pictures of her grandmother, that was all the evidence she needed to understand just how similar they look. Crazy how DNA is carried through the generations!

That’s what this young man found out when he finally got a peek at a picture of his granddad. Clearly, he does look like his father or at least his father’s side of the family.

Though their eyes may look a little different, these three women have very similar noses, and that smile is definitely a genetic trait. Our guess is that this will be passed on to the young lady’s children when she has them.

When a baby is born, it is sometimes hard to tell which parent they take after the most. It isn’t until later when they start to grow up that the similarities typically begin to show. Unless, of course, you’re this baby.

It seems that this little one has a unique gray streak through her hair, just like her mama. We wonder if that will be the only thing that makes them look like they have been copy-pasted.

Also, since this photo was taken when the aunt was so young, we wonder if she still looks like her niece today. Sometimes when you age, you can change quite drastically from when you were young.

It’s not unusual for kids to look like their mother or father or even grandparents. Sometimes though, the family members they wind up looking like are not their immediate family.

Imagine finding out that you look just like your cousin at some family reunion… We’re not sure if this is how these two realized they were twinning but it would have been really funny if that was the case.

Looking at two pictures side-by-side can give you a good idea of how much you actually look like the person people have said you resemble. But if you are a detail-orientated person, then doing a split-screen, and actually merge the two faces can be very helpful.

That’s what this gentleman on the left did with a photo of an older relative of his and he discovered that they’re pretty much the same person.

If it weren’t for the nose, this guy and his great-great-uncle would be spitting images of each other. Looking at this picture, you might even think that his uncle was actually his father or his grandfather.

It’s all about that very pronounced and strong jawline. If it weren’t for that, maybe these two wouldn’t look so similar. The young man should be proud since his great-great-uncle looks like an old Hollywood star.

While genetic traits are sometimes hereditary, it turns out that dedication to service is also another trait that can run in families. So, this youngster on the left must have been overjoyed and filled with pride when he discovered his great uncle was also a military man.

These two gentlemen could never be mistaken for strangers with all of the similar genetic traits they share, from their chins to their mouths and eyes.

It must be the coolest feeling ever to discover that you are twinning with someone in your family. For this girl, she had that unique connection with her grandmother.

Not only can she carry on the family legacy, but also the looks as you can see here they’re very similar looking. We think it’s the eyes and nose that give their resemblance away, what do you guys think?

Even though there is a 100-year difference between these two photos, the genetic match doesn’t lie. You can definitely see that these two men are related even though they’re not fully identical.

And when that relative bears a striking resemblance to you, then it’s even cooler. So, this guy took a profile picture of himself so that he could make a fair comparison.

Most of us can admit to at least one or two features that we share with one or both of our parents. That means that sometimes we don’t see the other features that make us look so much like them.

At least that’s what happened for this young woman who finally got a sneak peek at a pic of her great grandmother from way back when and noticed that they had a lot of similar features.

It seems that school pictures haven’t come very far in the past few decades, especially when you look at these two images side by side. Also, photo design aside, this mother and daughter duo certainly share a lot in common.

Maybe the similarities wouldn’t be so noticeable if they didn’t have the same haircut but we think that sweet and innocent smile also gives it away. Do you agree?

But outfit outside, we can see in the facial features that these two share some DNA. And we have to add, that it’s some fine quality genes that got passed down. That dad could have been a famous actor for all we know!

21-year-old Ashley Lawrence realized that there’s a shortage of supplies for the deaf and hard of hearing who need mask protection. Ashley decided to join the cause by making her own masks for those in need. People need to have essential medical items, and making see-through masks is what Ashely can do to contribute.

A Mask People Rely On

The sign language offers a lot of grammar-related signals, but people rely mostly on lip-reading, which is how a standard mask complicates things.

Lawrence studies education for the deaf and hard of hearing at Eastern Kentucky University. Finishing her semester at home, she had the free time to make face masks for those who speak sign language. She sewed the face mask with plastic windows over the mouth.

Raising Money to Make a Difference

Lawrence has been shipping mask bundles free of charge to local hospitals and deaf individuals, and she even launched a GoFundMe campaign. Ashley plans to do this in the long run and needs funds for materials, shipping, and handling costs. However, after raising more than $3,000 in two days, she shut her page down.

Initially, Lawrence asked her mom for help, and they both started making the featuring-a-plastic-window masks. Ashley has now recruited volunteers to make the see-through masks within her community in Woodford County, Kentucky. She’s also launching an official website and social media pages for her new DHH Mask Project with the increasing demand for her masks.

Ashley is also planning on posting a do-it-yourself video on Youtube, explaining in detail how to make the mouth-visible mask. This way, deaf or hard-of-hearing people worldwide could make one even if they live in an area too distant for shipping from Kentucky.
