TikTok Trivia Is the Platform’s Latest Offering
If you’ve been on TikTok recently, and we can bet you probably have, you might have come across something called the TikTok Trivia. Here is everything you need to know about the limited community-building experience brought to the users by Lionsgate and the upcoming John Wick: Chapter 4.
The TikTok Trivia
The interactive game, which happened over five days, was hosted by influencer James Henry. The game allowed the users to answer a series of questions for a potential prize from a whooping $500,000 fund. The game ended on February 26th, and according to the platform, allowed for some collective and competitive learning. Users could play this game on, well, TikTok only if they’re over the age of 18. Registrations for this venture happened on the app itself. To win a share of the fund, the rules stated that the users had to participate in the trivia competition every single day from February 22nd to February 26th. Henry, who is a TikTok creator himself, stated that the new concept had the power to bring the community together, all thanks to a shared sense of excitement.
The Rounds
The game was divided into parts. The first three days, that is the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th of February, had two sessions per day. Each trivia session has 12 MCQs each. The first session’s winners were eligible for a prize from a $30,000 fund, while the second session gave them an opportunity to tap into a larger $70,000 one. The final two days were the survivor rounds, with one session on each day. With higher stakes in play, the sessions had 40 questions or the capacity to continue until only 500 contestants remained. For the final rounds, each featured the prize to be split from a $100,000 fund. Overall, the creative take on the culturally loved idea of trivia was just one of the latest offerings of the social media platform.
