Jennifer Garner May Star in Ben Affleck’s New Movie

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner seem like they’re ready to work together again after their divorce. Garner is currently in talks to star alongside Matt Damon in her ex-husband’s latest directorial project, Animals. Set to be released on Netflix, this thriller follows the story of a couple as they try to rescue their child from kidnappers. If negotiations pan out, filming is slated to commence in Los Angeles in March.

Reunited

This potential collaboration marks a significant milestone for Garner and Affleck, who, despite a 13-year marriage and several joint Hollywood films, haven’t worked together since they started dating in 2005. They first met on the set of Pearl Harbor in 2001, followed by collaborations in Daredevil and Elektra. The couple tied the knot in June 2005 and welcomed three children: Violet Anne, Seraphina Rose, and Samuel.

A Blended Family

They announced their split in June 2015, with the divorce being finalized in 2018. Since then, both have moved on romantically: Garner has reportedly been involved in an on-again-off-again relationship with tech CEO John Miller since 2018, while Affleck rekindled his romance with Jennifer Lopez, leading to their marriage in July 2022—two decades after their first engagement in 2002. Lopez shares twins, Max and Emme, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.

Despite their long relationship and messy divorce, both actors seem ready to move on and work together again. Their amicable relationship was evident when Garner took her stepchildren to Disneyland in May 2023. Affleck expressed his gratitude in a heartfelt Mother’s Day tribute to Garner in 2021 writing, “So happy to share these kids with you.” Clearly, these two are masters at creating a happily blended family!
